Sustainability
It is
no secret that the textile industry is a major polluter of the environment,
consuming large quantities of valuable raw materials in the production of textiles.
We at Kaja are constantly thinking about how to relieve the environment and behave sustainably with a smaller carbon footprint than before.
We show it not only with our involvement in the circular economy and our reuse of workwear that is no longer usable, but also with our engagement in manufacturing certifications. For example, we hold the certifications listed below – and we serve the mission of our certification through our everyday work.

We behave responsibly: we recycle our uniforms to support the circular economy
GOTS stands for Global Organic Textile Standard, which is a standard that not
only verifies the presence and amount of organic material in fabrics and tracks
the flow of raw materials from their source to the final product, but also
audits companies to make sure these materials are processed according to strict
standards.
Fairtrade is trade based on partnership. Fairtrade is the certification of goods that meet certain social, economic, and environmental standards. The purpose of this certification is to provide growers, workers, and artisans in the Global South (countries in Africa, Asia, and Latin America) with the opportunity to earn a living through their own labour under dignified conditions. Under the Fairtrade system, growers and workers receive the farm gate value for their cotton, which covers the cost of growing or producing it while allowing them to earn a decent living. Fairtrade means fairer trading conditions, respect for human and labour rights, and environmental consciousness.
GRS stands for Global Recycled Standard, a standard that checks the presence and quantity of recycled materials in fabrics and tracks the flow of raw materials from their source to the final product. It is an international, voluntary, comprehensive product standard that sets requirements for third-party certification of recycled content, consumer chain of custody, social and environmental practices, and chemical restrictions. GRS certification only applies to fabrics that contain more than 50% recycled fiber.
Oeko-Tex Standard 100 is a worldwide, consistent, independent testing and certification system for textile raw materials, finished textiles, and final products at all stages of production. With its slogan, "Trust in Textiles", Oeko-Tex has become a worldwide synonym for responsible textile production, safety, and transparency. Oeko-Tex certification is a very important step towards reducing the use of hazardous chemicals in the textile industry.
